As said before, since CPU/GPU mining became unprofitable, developers created a new way of mining known as Cloud Mining.
Most of Cloud Mining websites are scam or illegal so be careful, dont invest on them because you might see your money lost.
Good thing about cloud mining is that, in most of them, you don't even need to have your computer turned on, so it's all profit. Mining in a cloud takes time - as everything - but no energy wasted, so your cost is only buy the contract to mine.
Usually, contracts are 1 year long, but sometimes you get 2-5 years contracts and even lifetime hashrate. Use them well ;)
One of the best Cloud Mining websites is HASHFLARE
HashFlare provides 1 year contract of SHA-256, Scrypt, EQUIHASH and ETHASH. Price varies according to the hashrate you want to purchase but the minimum is for SHA-256 or ETHASH and cost USD$2,20. Of course you wont get much profit with minimum Hashrate, but i think might be a start. Only way to mine in HashFlare is buying a contract.
