There are several ways to get cryptocoins. It depends on your way to look at this world. If you want to invest, you can buy directly the coins, if not, you can mine, claim on faucets or stake coins. Let's have a look at the different ways:
Buy:
- Like i said, if you have some money to invest, you can go to market exchanges and buy them. There are several markets as Bitfinex, HitBTC, Bittrex, Poloniex, GDAX and many others. As you can see, not difficult to buy!
Mining:
- You can get your coins through mining (read more in mining section). There are 3 types of mining: CPU mining, GPU mining and Cloud Mining. Today it's not profitable anymore to mine with CPU, at least the best cryptocoins. Although you can mine many others. See below difference between PoW and PoS
Faucets:
- Faucets are the best way to enter in cryptocoins world without any investment. Don't expect to win 1 bitcoin from night to day, but you can claim and collect some decimals of coins and then transfer to your wallets. There is a full guide in faucets section, take a look there!
PTC:
- PTC (stands for Pay-to-Click), is another way to make money without investment. All you have to do is click on Ads, watch them and get rewarded. There are some PTC sites that pays in Dollars and some others in Cryptocoins.
Stake:
- Stake is a new way of getting coins. All you have to do is having your hardware wallet opened with coins and you will see your balance increase. See below difference of PoW and PoS.
PoW vs PoS:
PoW (stands for Proof of Work) is the way you get payed for using your computer or graphics power to mine coins. Like i said before, PoW isn't profitable anymore because of energy consumption vs profit (except for cloud mining). This is why PoS (stands for Proof of Stake) was created. PoS is a way you get coins by having coins in wallets. So, yes, the more you have, the more you earn!! All you have to do is have your wallet opened on your computer, and if you have some coins staked, you will be payed from time to time.
